Book of the Week Reccomendation

I always like to highlight new authors who are coming in and doing some pretty amazing stuff.  I’ve seen the heart and effort these two new writers have put into their first release and I think its great find you wont be disappointed with. Also, Steve Beaulieu is a graphic artist and he did the cover, which is fantastic.  Very modern Gene Wolfe!  UPDATE: They had a killer day in sales for their release, which was yesterday!  Congratulations, guys!

The world is dying at the hands of a brutal Empire.

Brother Dust, a changeling born amidst a sandstorm, has seen it all before. He’s watched as the heavy imperial boots have crushed dozens of planets. Watched as their drills pierce the core of a world, slowly killing it while the natives are kept docile and compliant with the gifts and pleasures the empire brings them from the stars.

He will watch no more.

Brother Dust will use his ability to mold his own body into devastating weapons to wage a one-man war against the malevolent High Father and the empire’s diabolical machines.

The body count is rising, but the empire must be stopped.

Hall and Beaulieu I think are going to be two writers to watch and I think you’l want to be in on the ground floor of this one.  They’ve done a great job.  Give ’em a read.

I just posted a somewhat detailed – but not Too detailed – review of Brother Dust over on Amazon… It is truly a fabulous ride, to echo Steve Beaulieu – filled with So Much ACTION and… more than just action. It made me Think, and feel, which is what makes some books flat great.

Sometimes, though, I just want a Great Story so I can sort of escape and not think about anything except what is in the book and oddly enough – this book could be Either for me.

    Wonderful recommendation. Great book.
